Designer: Charles and Ray Eames, 1948
Description: The Eames DSW chair (Dining Side chair Wood-base) is one of Eames' most recognizable designs. The design was first presented at the Museum of Modern Art in New York's Low-Cost Furniture Design Competition. The beautifully molded seat with its light and elegant lines gives the chair a clean and graceful expression. With its iconic design, the DSW chair is perfect grouped around a dining table or standing alone as a single piece.
Materials: The legs are made of solid wood with stabilizing metal rods in polished stainless steel. The seat is made of fibreglass reinforced plastic.
